<<Altri libertini> > by Tondelli
Riccione TTV Festival: <<Other libertines>> by Tondelli
Friday 18 October - Riccione, Cocoricò
Published in 1980, Altri libertini is the first work of Pier Vittorio Tondelli , one of the most important writers of contemporary reading, who passed away in 1991 at just thirty-six years old. With lively, raw and at times experimental language, the text tells the stories of a series of young people, often on the margins of society, in search of their own identity in Italy at the end of the Seventies. A work so revolutionary and shameless - it was even seized for obscenity - that it quickly established itself as the manifesto of an entire generation.
Over forty years later, that generational manifesto conquers the theater scene thanks to the Licia Lanera Company, which for the first time in Italy since Tondelli's death has obtained the rights to stage the opera. Just three days after its debut at the Romaeuropa Festival and before its performances at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan, Altri libertini arrives in Riccione - Tondelli's elective homeland - and is presented to the public in one of the city's symbolic places, the pyramid of the Cocoricò nightclub .
Of the six stories that make up the volume - the author defined it as an ''episode novel'' - Licia Lanera chose to work on Viaggio, Altri libertini and Autobahn , combining them in a single narrative that sees her on stage alongside three male performers.
Production: Compagnia Licia Lanera. Co-production: Albe/Ravenna Teatro. Thanks to the La Luna nel Letto Company.<
Event in collaboration with Cocoricò Riccione.
